Dirk Schrade, born on June 29, 1978, in Münsingen, is a German eventing rider. He began riding at the age of eight and transitioned to eventing at twelve. In 2012, he won the gold medal in the team eventing competition at the London Olympics, representing Germany with the horse King Artus. Subsequently, he secured additional gold medals in the team eventing competition: at the European Championships in Malmö in 2013 and at Blair Castle in 2015. In 2014, he earned the gold medal in the team eventing competition at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy. These achievements solidify his reputation as one of the leading eventing riders internationally.
